Laura London is considered as one of the world’s leading close-up magicians. Her exceptional sleight of hand skills has taken her around the world, not only as a performer but also as a lecturer on magic and as a consultant for television and film.
At the start of her career Laura concentrated on a wide range of close-up magic while experimenting in mind reading and stage illusions.Within 6 months of becoming professional, she landed her first TV show called Playing Tricks, a ten-part street magic series featuring Laura as the only female among six magicians. Her other TV credits include ITV1’s The Next Great Magician and Penn and Teller’s ‘Fool Us’, The Magic Party on BBC and most recently, Laura was honoured to be one of the featured sleight of hand experts in the film ‘Looking for Erdnase’.A film based on the mysterious author of ‘The Expert at the Card Table’.
Laura’s journey into magic began when she was just 8 years old. By the time she was 18 Laura became the youngest ever female member of The Magic Circle, the world’s most prestigious magic society. Laura is now a member of the Inner Magic Circle with gold star, the highest honour the society awards and this year, Laura received the Milbourne Christopher Award for Close-Up, the first female to ever do so.
One of her biggest honours was performing for King Charles III on several occasions and for Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
