FAQs
The Experience
What can I expect to experience at Rhythm&Ruse?
You’ll enjoy performances from some of the finest magicians in the world mere feet from your eyes, incredible feats of stage magic and illusion, the musical stylings of our live jazz band and delightful cabaret entertainment from our hosts.
All the while, you’ll enjoy delectable and limitless libations served to your table from our open bar, as well as the option of purchasing a surprising and delightful range of gourmet snacks.
What should I wear?
Whilst we welcome all guests to visit Rhythm&Ruse as they are, our speakeasy setting harkens back to the glamour and splendour of the jazz age. We welcome guests who choose to dress to theme in resplendent suits or glamorous dresses – whatever their gender.
When should I arrive?
We advise all guests to arrive at Rhythm&Ruse at least 15 minutes before the start of the performance, so we can help you to your table and get the drinks flowing. Please don’t arrive more than 30 minutes early, as we won’t be ready to accommodate you.
Regrettably, any guests who arrive late may be unable to enter until a suitable break in the performance.
Where is the experience located?
Rhythm&Ruse is in the heart of London, moments away from Waterloo Station. You can see all of the details on our plan your visit page.
What's the seating like?
Rhythm&Ruse is presented in, our secret speakeasy in the heart of London. You’ll be allocated seating on a shared table for twelve with other revellers and views of our stage. We will not split parties who have booked into the same ticket category. Whilst VIP and Premium tables have the best views, all tables have good views of the stage.
As the evening progresses, you’ll be visited by a series of magicians. These performances will happen for your table alone, mere feet from your eyes – so everyone has an excellent view of the magic.
If you’d prefer to sit alone, club together eleven friends (or enemies) and email our Group Sales team – they’ll be happy to help. And remember – all tables are subject to temporary obstructions due to the set and nature of the performance.
How long is Rhythm&Ruse?
From the stated start time on your ticket, you can expect to be at Rhythm&Ruse for approximately two hours. There’s no interval at the show, but there’s plenty of opportunities to nip to the bathroom if you wish.
Guests joining us for our second shows are welcome to linger for a while in the bar at the end of the show – with the option to purchase additional libations. Regrettably, after our first show, or on evenings where we have a Late at Rhythm&Ruse event scheduled, guests will be asked to leave immediately after the show as we prepare for our next visitors.
Can I take photos or videos during the show?
Our magicians have kept their secrets behind locked doors for centuries. They ask their invited guests to refrain from photography or video recording of any kind for the enjoyment of future patrons – and you’ll be asked to turn off any mobile phones during the show.
However, there will be an opportunity to take photos at the shows conclusion.
Is there any strobe lighting or haze?
If you’re sensitive to flashing lights or haze, we recommend you speak to our box office team before booking a ticket for Rhythm&Ruse. They’ll be delighted to meet your acquaintance and assist you further. Please provide as much detail as possible about your sensitivity when contacting us.
Is there an age requirement or door policy?
Rhythm&Ruse is an adults only affair so you’ll need to be at least 18 to visit us. If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, we recommend you bring Photo ID as it may be requested on entry to the venue.
Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate hen and stag parties.
Booking & Ticketing
Can I make a group booking?
Absolutely. We’d be delighted to accommodate your group (with the regrettable exception of hen and stag parties).
Each table at Rhythm&Ruse seats twelve people. For bookings smaller than this, you can book online as normal. But if you’re a group of 12 or more, we’d recommend contacting our group sales team so that we can ensure you’re seated together.
Everyone in your group does need to book the same type of ticket so we’re able to seat you together.
Can I book for a future date that isn't available yet?
Our Group Sales team has access to dates that are further out than our current schedule shows, to ensure we’re able to accommodate groups of 12 or more together. Reach out to them if you’ve got a group of this size and a special occasion to visit Rhythm&Ruse for.
Otherwise, we announce new availability first to those guests on our email newsletter, so we’d recommend subscribing for the best chance to get tickets.
Can I reschedule or cancel my tickets?
Regrettably, all tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. However – for tickets bought directly from Rhythm&Ruse, if you’d like to change the name on your ticket so a friend can visit in your place, we’d be happy to assist. Email the box office team to make these changes.
Third party ticket vendors policies may differ from our own. Please reach out to your original point of purchase for more details.
I can't find my ticket. What can I do?
Please don’t worry! We re-send all tickets a few days before your show automatically by either email or text message. You’ll find them attached to the email with the full details of our secret location. If you still can’t find your tickets, you can retrieve them by contacting our box office team.
And if you still find yourself caught short, don’t worry. As long as you have some ID in the name of your ticket, we’ll be able to look it up when you arrive.
Why is there a booking fee?
Rhythm&Ruse assesses a booking fee to cover the cost of providing a high quality, secure and efficient booking experience for our guests, and to cover the cost of providing customer service in relation to your ticket purchase.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
No. All tickets must be pre-purchased through either the Rhythm&Ruse website, our group sales team, or an authorised ticket agent.

How do I add a meal at your partner restaurant?
We’ve partnered with a local restaurant, just minutes from Rhythm&Ruse, to offer a delicious three course menu for £40. This is usually available as an add-on when you purchase your ticket. If you’re buying your ticket close to the show, and you’re not offered the opportunity to reserve a table, unfortunately the deal is no longer available.
For guests purchasing tickets particularly early, it might be too soon to book your meal. In this case, as long as you opted-in to marketing messages, we’ll email you as soon as reservations are available in case you’d like to upgrade.
What time is the meal at your partner restaurant?
To ensure you’ve plenty of time to get to and from Rhythm&Ruse, we’ve pre-scheduled reservations at our partner restaurant allowing plenty of time. You’ll see the specific options during the checkout journey.
Is there a service charge? Where does it go?
We don’t add a compulsory service charge, but we do welcome you to tip our dedicated Guest Services team. You’ll be able to do this on-site with a credit or debit card, or using a link we’ll send you after you leave. 100% of tips go straight to the team. The service charge is not shared by management, the production or any of our performers.

Is Rhythm&Ruse wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Rhythm&Ruse is fully wheelchair accessible, and we have an accessible toilet. We do ask that you email us on [email protected] before your visit, so we can ensure we seat you somewhere it’s easy for you to access the toilet should you need it during the show.
Is the experience suitable for pregnant women?
You will be seated for the majority of the experience, with minimal physical requirements. A wide range of non-alcoholic drinks are available as part of our open bar.
Are essential companion tickets available?

In the event that you believe you meet the above criteria, we invite you to email our Access Team detailing your needs to apply for an essential companion ticket. One essential companion ticket can be made available per full paying guest.
